Avionics Support Sales Limited (company number 09418864) is the controller of personal information described in this policy. Our registered or correspondence address for privacy enquiries is Unit 3 The Rutherford Centre, Rutherford Way, Crawley, England, RH10 9RU. Contact us at sales@avionicssupport.com. This policy covers our website, online store, customer accounts, enquiries, quotations, purchases and associated support. If a legally required EU/EEA or other local representative applies, its contact details will be provided here.
We may collect your name, business name, job title, business and delivery addresses, telephone number, email address, account credentials (stored securely), orders, quotations, part numbers, invoice and transaction references, delivery information, customer communications and support history. We may also collect IP address, device and browser information, security logs and cookie preferences. Where necessary for aviation-sector compliance, we may request end-user, destination, export-control and sanctions-screening information. We collect payment status and transaction references from our payment provider, not complete card details or card security codes in our own systems. We may receive information from your employer, a business contact, delivery partners or fraud-prevention services, where appropriate.
To create accounts, respond to enquiries, process orders, issue invoices, arrange delivery, administer returns and provide customer support: performance of a contract, steps before entering a contract, or legitimate interests in managing B2B customer relationships.
To meet tax, accounting, product traceability, aviation, sanctions and export-control obligations: legal obligation where applicable; otherwise legitimate interests in compliant and safe operations.
To prevent fraud, secure systems, investigate incidents and enforce contractual rights: legitimate interests in protecting customers, staff and the business; and legal obligation where relevant.
To send marketing emails: consent where required, or another lawful route permitted by applicable direct-marketing law. Every marketing message will provide an unsubscribe mechanism.
To use non-essential cookies or similar technologies: consent where required. You may withdraw consent at any time.
We will not use information for an incompatible new purpose without taking the steps required by law.
Information required for checkout, payment, delivery and legally mandated trade checks is necessary to fulfil the order or meet legal requirements. Without it, we may be unable to accept or fulfil an order. Optional marketing and non-essential cookies are not conditions of purchase.
We do not sell, rent, trade or disclose customer personal data to third parties for their independent advertising or data-brokerage purposes. We disclose only the minimum information reasonably necessary to authorised recipients, which may include Judo Pay and associated payment/fraud-prevention participants, hosting, email and IT-security suppliers (including Microsoft Azure and Cloudflare), our address look-up provider (Ideal Postcodes), our Quantum order-management or ERP provider, delivery carriers, customs agents, professional advisers and regulators or authorities where required by law. Some providers act as processors under written agreements; others, such as certain payment providers or carriers, may act as independent controllers for their own legal responsibilities. We require appropriate confidentiality and security arrangements and do not permit processors to use information for unrelated purposes.
Online card payments are processed using Judo Pay. We should receive payment confirmations, transaction references and limited payment metadata necessary for reconciliation, refunds and fraud management. We do not intentionally collect or store full card numbers or CVV codes in our own website or ERP systems. Payment processing may also be governed by Judo Pay’s privacy information.
We use appropriate technical and organisational safeguards proportionate to risk, including HTTPS/TLS in transit, access controls based on job role, multi-factor authentication where available, secure password handling, software updates, logging, backups, staff confidentiality and incident-response procedures. We review supplier security and restrict retention and access. No online system is completely risk-free; we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a personal-data breach occurs, we will investigate and make any legally required notifications.
We are established in the UK and may serve customers worldwide. Where personal data is transferred from the UK to an organisation in another country, we will use an applicable adequacy mechanism, appropriate contractual safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or UK Addendum, or a lawful exception, as required. Additional protections may apply where EU GDPR or local law governs processing.
We retain information only for as long as needed for the relevant purpose, including legal, accounting, contractual, aviation traceability, export compliance, dispute and security requirements. Indicative schedules are: transactional and tax records generally at least six years where applicable; customer account details while the account remains active and for an appropriate period thereafter; enquiries and security logs for documented, proportionate periods; marketing preferences until withdrawal or periodic review. Certain aviation or export records may require longer retention.
Subject to applicable law and exceptions, you may request access, correction, erasure, restriction, portability, and object to processing based on legitimate interests or direct marketing. You can withdraw consent without affecting earlier lawful processing. Contact sales@avionicssupport.com. We may verify identity before responding and will respond within applicable statutory timescales. UK customers may complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO); other individuals may have rights to complain to a relevant local supervisory authority.
We do not intend to make solely automated decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects without meeting applicable legal requirements. Payment and fraud services may use automated screening. Our aviation parts store is intended for professional and adult purchasers and is not directed to children.
We may update this policy to reflect operational or legal changes. The latest version and effective date will appear on the website. Where required, we will notify affected individuals of material changes. Privacy enquiries: sales@avionicssupport.com; postal address: Unit 3 The Rutherford Centre, Rutherford Way, Crawley, England, RH10 9RU. Effective date: 2 November 2026.
